I can't understand the lower score as I rate my experience almost 9.5/10. I had stayed at The Hub a few times before Covid, then didn't travel in a while, so even with almost two years away I was recognized and given a very warm welcome when I arrived. I got a great room. Room 3 which is on the ground floor with King Size bed. Wherever I went down the corridor hand sanitizers were strategically placed. Covid protection features huge every where. Room felt very clean. Enormous size with fridge (no microwave but there is a microwave available in an area near the foyer), kettle, mugs and teaspoons (metal ones) and coffee, tea sugar etc. Bathroom and shower were excellent and linens of great quality. Plenty of towels and if anything additionally needed easy to make a request with speedy response. The room is of amazing design where there is a TV area built in and then with a HUGE built in desk right down the wall so any one working could spread out their papers and has huge space to work. Which is what I did. WiFi is very fast. I needed a copy of something, and was given an e-mail address and had the copies in record time. I didn't pay for the copies as they were a moderate number (3 copies), but I'm sure one could negotiate for copies to be made as there is a copier on the premises. There is also a TV and video machine in the room. I've never used the video machine, but TV is standard Samsung with a few DSTV channels. Proximity wise the Hotel is walking distance (approx 15 minutes) to Walmer Mall - in my opinion the greatest mall even better than BayWest - in PE. Then there is also the big Moffat on Main shopping center with a huge Checkers in it. I attended the Moffat on Main as there is a PostNet office services shop where I had a few documents scanned for me. I had very efficient service in record time there. Down the road from there is also a Foodlovers Market.

Personal warm welcome by the manager, Ronel. She went out of her way to attend to me. Typical warm and friendly service by all of the staff, who operate as one team. I like that sense of community. Room was awesome. I was given Room 1 and it faced the swimming pool. It was indeed very quiet as not too many guests on that day. Room was aired before I got in, prepared for my arrival, which I liked too, as well as detailed cleanliness every where. Shower worked excellent, plenty of coffee and tea, fridge and kettle. WiFi is excellent speed too.

It was my second time going there , I Like how homely their rooms are , it gives that home away from home feeling. Their Staff is also friendly and approachable which is a bonus . I arrived very late and missed their check in time . Because of concern they kept calling to check if I was still alright.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast great and loved the quick service. Only downside is not having hot water to shower when there's load shedding. Best to familiarize yourself with the load shedding schedule in the area so one can shower on time.
